I have no reasoning, but I've always thought the newer VW shifters looked awesome. What are your favorites?

I think the newer Chrysler 300 looks nice.
Also, the RS5 is a gorgeous vehicle with a gorgeous shifter.

Thanks to the new rcr, I've been reminded how cool the shifter is in the ep3 Civic Si

That 300 shifter is very different. Not sure how I feel about it lol.
I love the RS5 shifter, but why's it so busy around it? Just let it breathe!

2011. I wish I could find a better pic. To compensate, here is a break down of a Volvo Spaceball from my work computer :]

It doesn't look special, but absolutely nothing makes me feel more at home than well-worn early 90s Honda shifters.

The shifter in the 300 looks nice, but I'm not a fan of its operation. The shifter doesn't "click" into the gear you select, it returns to center after you select the gear you want. Coupled with the fact that it's a little slow to select the gear, it's quite easy to jump over the gear you want if you aren't used to it.

wrong person to post to, but I like it. I had an accordion shifter on my XJ and on the 89 suburban.

I've always loved the tiny and unique shifters on those weird semi–automatic transmissions from the 30s. My grandfather's first car—a 1936 Hudson Terraplane—had one, although this example is from a Cord.
Possible repost because Kinja.

I am biased, but the shifter in my TL is nice. It's classy, yet sporty. It has a nice feel with the leather, the shifts are relatively short (stock), and it goes into the gears like butter

I think that's one of the reasons why Chrysler is slowly introducing the rotary dial selector in their vehicles.

Love my classic chrome hurst stick and cue ball in my 68 Camaro.
Love the 59-61 impala shifters nicknamed "spaghetti" as well. The work perfect in a trifive chevy since they clear the bench
